The Tourism Authority of Thailand has recently announced that a calendar of events is to be launched throughout Thailand in 2018 to make it the ‘Year of Tourism’, with a view to reach a larger international audience and promote and “further strengthen the Thai tourism industry by making it more sustainable, focus on quality tourism, create higher economic value, and distribute tourism income to the regional areas of Thailand.”- TATnews.org
